Co-organized by Isogloss Collective, a New York-based critical writing and independent publishing group, and Accent Society, the 2025 Isogloss Workshop focused on independent magazines that exist outside the mainstream media industry. These publications serve as vital mediums for uniting communities and fostering the development of literature, art, and thought. Through lectures and seminars, the workshop conducts digital archaeology on the history of independent magazines and explores how individuals with limited resources can use writing and independent publishing to connect with like-minded peers, build communities, and create historic moments of collective emergence.

A Research Residency Project in collaboration with Northeast Asia Art Archive. The residency is located in the settlement of historically Korean immigrants in Jilin Province, China. It is also close to the locus of Heaven Lake. The project will focus on field investigations and research, but its attention will cover northeast China and the whole of Northeast Asia. In spring, the invited artists and scholars with Northeast Asian backgrounds and the signed-up research fellows will gather at the banks of Heaven Lake to discuss the big questions: Why am I here? What do I bring to humanity? What has humanity brought me?
